Moi University School of Medicine appreciates Dr. Nikesh Mani Shrestha (Medical Gastroenterologist) and Samira Byanju (Endoscopy nurse) for visiting Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and Moi University School of Medicine, for a period of two weeks, for ERCP skills exchange. We recognize the key role of AMPATH North American consortium for the facilitation of this mutual collaboration. Hosting and accompanying this Dhulikhel Hospital team were Dr. Andrew Wandera, GI surgeon and Senior Director Clinical Services at MTRH, Dr. Mercy Karoney, GI physician and member of Faculty at Moi University School of Medicine and Nurse Grace Ndegwa, a theatre nurse at MTRH.
These are foundational processes towards a center of excellence in GI clinical services, subspecialist training, research and innovation.
